Fish and vegetables: natural bedfellows

Today marks the first day of a collective 20-day project to build an aquaponics system and help provide yummy produce, interesting and truly LOCAL tapas ideas, and a rethinking of the public eating space.

Aquaponic Gardening by Sylvia Bernstein

While the last two things have, admittedly, occupied my mind for much of the past two years, the first is new and uncharted territory. I’ve been lucky enough to touch base with one of the experts in the field, Sylvia Bernstein.

Her book, Aquaponic Gardnening, is a clear-eyed guide – packed with practical and contextual advice – for beginners and seasoned gardeners alike.

I was lucky enough to touch base with Sylvia on Twitter, (you should too!) and hope to keep up to date with all her lively applied aquaponics research!
Got ideas for future posts? Let me know.
